Celebrate St Valentine's Day in one of Europe's most romantic cities!
Barcelona is the capital of the Mediterranean, an exciting and cosmopolitan city which is also famous for its Gothic, art nouveau and contemporary architecture.
There are many attractions, including the famous Sagrada Familia, the Ramblas, the Nou Camp, cable car rides with panoramic views of the city, superb museums (including the Picasso museum), extensive shopping area, a wide variety of restaurants and bars, plus a lively nightlife.
The half marathon course is flat and is one loop around the city centre. The course is a certified half marathon (13.1miles / 21.097km). It passes through historic Plaza Catalunya and down the Ramblas, whose central promenade is the heart of the old city. The route also passes the rejuvenated port area and runs by the Olympic village and stadium, where the 1992 Olympics were held. The race starts at 9.00am and the time limit is 21/2 hours.
