The classic race starts at 10.10, just north of Newcastle city centre, and the finish is at Clifftop Park, South Shields, a popular seaside resort.
Over 50,000 runners from all over the world will participate in the event. The local Geordies give an outstandingly warm welcome each year to the visiting Irish runners.
