Stockholm is one of the world’s best organised marathons and the city is beautiful. The marathon, which takes place on a Saturday, finishes in the superbly atmospheric 1912 Olympic Stadium.
This is a truly international marathon, with 50 per cent of the runners from outside Sweden.
Stockholm is one of the most stunning capitals in the world. It is situated on 14 islands and laced by water so clean that you can swim and fish right in the heart of the city. In the early summer, the nights never get really dark.
